Nonviolent Communication is a process that helps us become aware and manage the violence that we exercise and receive on a regular basis, in order to gradually liberate us from it so that we may live beyond guilt, shame and fear.

The process focuses on our deeper needs and feelings at any given moment and helps us coexist with others in a way that makes living more beautiful for all.

How was NVC created?

NVC is based on the assumption that human beings are naturally giving and compassionate. it offers ways through which this natural human state of being is revealed and turned into the source of all relationships.
Marshall Rosenberg, an American psychologist, is the father of NVC. Marshall noticed that some people are cut off this natural state of compassion and end up behaving violently, while others manage to keep their humanity even in the face of their torturers. So, he decided to dedicate his life to research this phenomenon and its causes – NVC is the result of decades of work with people. Marshall invented a tool that helps people clearly see their inner reality and come to terms with it. NVC has spread to more than 65 countries and is a valuable tool on a personnal and societal level.
